Nathan Yip, a hairdresser and educator with over 20 years of experience both in Australia and internationally.

Nathan has spent his career refining the craft of cutting hair, driven by a love for creativity, precision, and connection. After years working in some of Australia’s most respected salons, he founded Pretty Vacant to offer a thoughtful, consultative approach to hair cutting, focused on understanding each person’s individual style, shape, and lifestyle.

Nathan still works behind the chair, cutting hair and seeing clients at The Weekend Society and Anavrin Hair in New Farm. Alongside his salon work, he educates both in Australia and overseas, helping stylists build confidence and technical skill in their craft.

Nathan is also a Brand Ambassador for Ozdare and Excellent Edges, representing brands that share his commitment to quality, craft, and education.
