The Hair Festival Competitions return in 2024 on Monday 1 July.
There are new competitions plus the return of the ever popular competitions for you to choose what you would like to compete in.
NEW for 2024 – Your chance to be crowned the Hair Festival Champion 2024. This will be achieved by entering more than one competitions with your accumulated points seeing you awarded as either
- Hair Festival Stylist Champion 2024,
- Hair Festival Barber Champion 2024
- Rising Star Champion 2024
Competitions on
Offer
Barbers
- Barber Street for seniors or more confident up and coming Barbers
- Men’s Total Look (Pre-done)
- Inspired by Colour (Pre-done)
- Highest points accumulated from 2 or more of the competitions will be awarded the title: Hair Festival Barber Champion 2024.
Stylists
- Women’s Street Style – senior and confident up and coming Hairdressers
- Inspired by Colour (Pre-done)
- Women’s Total Look – Glam Slam
- Bridal – (Pre-done)
- Highest points accumulated from 2 or more of the competitions will be awarded the title: Hair Festival Stylist Champion 2024.
Rising Stars
- Rising Star Women’s Cutting Competition
- Rising Star Barber Cutting Competition
- Rising Star Blow Dry
- Or any of the competitions listed above.
- Highest points accumulated from 2 or more of the competitions will be awarded the title: Hair Festival Rising Star Champion 2024.
Competition Details
Some competitions will run consecutively with proposed timing as follow:
- Cutting competitions 30 mins
- Editorial Competition 15 mins

Conditions
- These conditions apply to each competition.
- The judges’ decision will be FINAL and no correspondence will be entered into
- The Hair Festival will not be responsible or liable for any claims arising from or any damage of work performed on model’s hair
- Models must not touch the hair at any time during the competition
- All Competitors must stop work immediately when the call to do so is given
- Any person disturbing the competitors or models on the stage will be removed from the premises
- Competitors who disobey, break the rules, or exceed the times given will be disqualified
