Bertus | @the_bloody_butcher

Rob picked up a pair of clippers when he was 14 years old to screw up his first haircut in a long line of many screwed up haircuts to come. Always believing in the punk D.I.Y. ethos and the school of hard knocks that teaches that class, he knew Barbering was his passion once those first hairs hit the floor of his parent’s home. Two decades later, after a drug and alcohol fueled journey along the road of wreck ‘n’ ruin, Rob and his better half, Leen – The Bearded Bastard, opened a safe haven for the wicked and weary that became known as Schorem – The Holy Ashtray. His quest for the perfect classic haircut became more than just an orgasmic nightmare as they signed the contract with that foul demon called The Lard…

“PLEASED TO GREASE YOU… HOPE YOU GUESS MY NAME…”

Leen | @schorembarbier

On a dark and stormy night, the Bearded Bastard was made; “made” you ask? Yes, it’s time to finally come out with the truth, Leen wasn’t born the traditional way, but built out of snips, snails, puppy-dog tails, left over pieces of meat and an ancient brain his grandfather bought from a witch doctor in Honolulu. Born and raised in the south of the Lowlands, Leen picked up his first pair of clippers at 14 while working a holiday job and found that his lack of social skills left plenty of room for the technical side of Barbering. A famous barber from the silver screen once said, “Me? I don’t talk much, I just cut the hair, and that’s what he has done ever since. One day, that rotten foul-breathed renegade Bertus walked in with nothing but his scurvy dog, hot girlfriend, red mohawk and 2 dollars in his pocket asking for a job and a cup of coffee, the rest is history, he just lost the mohawk.
