What Is Hair Festival?
Hair Festival is a dedicated two-day event focused solely on the professional hair industry. With space for the hair salon community to shop, learn, compete and connect (discussed in detail below), this event will bring the industry together to fire on every cylinder. The event partners with leading brands and industry organisations to combine for the true betterment of Australian hair.
What are the details around the Festival Hub?
Fulfilling the ‘SHOP’ aspect of the event, the most important thing to know about Festival Hub is that it is entirely FREE to register and enter this hallway of innovations. You can discover and experience the new products and technologies on offer and find out what brands are creating now. It’s not to be missed!
What education is available at the festival?
Here’s where we fulfill the ‘LEARN’ part of the bargain. Hair Festival offers the most comprehensive and diverse education portfolio for the national industry that you can find in one place.
With over 24 education sessions on offer across the two days, the program features a range of topics, tools, techniques and products from a multitude of leading brands, educators and experts.
On Sunday, the featured REALtalk program is composed of guest speakers and panels that speak to business acumen and facilitate necessary conversations in the industry.
How can I win prizes at Hair Festival?
So glad you asked. Of course you can win at Hair Festival in our ‘COMPETE’ sector, with six hairdressing competitions on the Monday that speak to individual editorial style, individual men’s hair and teamwork. How can the industry network at the event?
The all important ‘CONNECT’ aspect of the festival delights in bringing the hair industry back together all in one place with Hair Festival Wonderland, a beautifully themed party and ultimate celebration on Sunday 30 June 2024. There are also many ways to connect during the two-day Hair Festival program in Festival Hub.
What are the Hair Festival event details?
Hair Festival takes place at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) on Sunday 29 and Monday 30 June 2025. The Festival operating hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm on Sunday and 10.00am – 4.00pm on Monday.
The two-day program includes the Festival Hub, Education Sessions, Competitions and Wonderland party.

How do I access ICC Sydney?
ICC Sydney features multiple public access points, and can be accessed on foot, by car, coach, and light rail from various stops along Darling Drive, Darling Harbour.
Entry and Parking: ICC Sydney provides accessible car parking spaces as well as lift access from car parks.
Accessibility: The venue provides step-free access to every entertainment, exhibition and conference venue, wheelchair seating with adjacent carer seat in all theatre venues, lowered counters at key retail/service points and wheelchair and ambulant accessible restroom.
Can I park at the venue?
ICC Sydney has 800+ secure car parking spaces available. Vehicle entry height is 2.2m.
Additionally, visitors can make use of a number of secure car parks located in and around Darling Harbour, the closest located at Harbourside Car Park, 100 Murray Street, Pyrmont. Find more parking on Google Maps.
Does ICC Sydney accept cash?
ICC Sydney is a cashless venue. We accept payment via eftpos only for all services including food and beverage kiosks and cafes, parking and merchandise outlets.
Major credit cards, debit cards and mobile/watch pay (apple pay, google pay and samsung pay) are accepted. The venue does not accept alipay or wechat pay.
How far is the airport from ICC Sydney and what type of transportation is available?
Taxis and trains are available to and from the airport. The Sydney Airport is 8kms from ICC Sydney, with an average drive time of 25 minutes.
What Hotels are close by?
There are over 43 hotels, from budget to luxury, within a ten minute walk of ICC Sydney, including a luxury headquarters (circa) 600 room hotel adjacent to ICC Sydney. These emails are sent by scammers impersonating the event.
