The Colourist Board by Michele Madjid
Michele is a seasoned hairdresser based in Sydney, with over 20 years of expertise in the industry. Her journey began at 19, when she started an apprenticeship with the renowned Toni and Guy, quickly immersing herself in the artistry of hairdressing. Throughout her career, Michele has honed her skills and developed a particular passion for hair colour—a field where science and creativity seamlessly merge.
In her pursuit of perfection, Michele noticed a gap in the resources available to colourists, especially when it came to selecting the right shades for clients based on their skin tone. This observation sparked a vision: to create a tool that would not only simplify colour choices but also help hairdressers make more informed, precise decisions. With this in mind, Michele developed the Colourist Board—a revolutionary tool designed to identify a client’s skin tone and guide professionals in choosing the most flattering and complementary hair colours.
The Colourist Board helps colourists quickly assess a client’s skin tone, the tool offers clear guidance on which shades will enhance the client’s natural complexion. Through careful research, Michele transformed her idea into a tangible resource that takes the guesswork out of colour selection, elevating the client experience while empowering hairdressers to achieve flawless, customised results every time.
