Terms & Conditions
By registering for Hair Festival 2026, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Event Details
These Terms & Conditions apply to Hair Festival 2026, presented by BHA Media (“the Organiser”), to be held on 28–29 June 2026 at ICC Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
2. Registration & Payment
- All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.
- Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your place.
- Registration confirmations will be issued once payment has been received.
- Event registrations are issued to the named attendee and may not be shared or used by another person.
- Registration transfers or substitutions may be permitted prior to the event with written approval from the Organiser.
- Participation in Hair Festival is subject to approval by the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to accept, refuse, cancel or revoke any registration at its absolute discretion, before or during the event.
3. Festival Badges
All attendees must wear their official Hair Festival badge while onsite.
Badges remain the property of the Organiser and must not be shared, transferred or used by anyone other than the registered attendee. The Organiser reserves the right to confiscate badges that are being misused or shared.
If a badge is lost, stolen or damaged, a replacement badge may be issued at the Registration Desk.
Replacement badges
We understand that event badges can occasionally be lost or damaged during Hair Festival.
- Should you require a replacement badge, please visit the Registration Desk with valid photo identification. Our team will verify your registration details before issuing a replacement badge.
- A replacement badge fee of AUD $29 + GST, plus applicable booking fees, will apply to each reprint.
- Only the registered attendee may request a replacement badge.
- The Organiser reserves the right to refuse a badge replacement where satisfactory proof of identity cannot be provided.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to events@intermedia.com.au.
Refunds will be assessed based on the date the written cancellation request is received.

Please note:
- Booking and transaction fees are non-refundable.
- Failure to attend the event does not constitute cancellation and is not eligible for a refund.
- Approved substitute attendees may attend in place of the original registrant where written approval has been granted by the Organiser.
- Where a registration is cancelled or revoked by the Organiser under these Terms & Conditions, any refund will be determined at the Organiser’s discretion.
5. Event Changes or Cancellation
The Organiser reserves the right to:
- Modify the event program, speakers, venue, dates, or format where reasonably necessary
- Cancel or postpone the event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control
If the event is cancelled by the Organiser, liability is limited to a refund of the registration fee paid. The Organiser is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other associated costs.
If the event is postponed, registrations will automatically transfer to the new date unless otherwise advised.
6. Attendance, Behaviour & Commercial Activity
- Attendees are expected to behave in a professional, respectful, and appropriate manner at all times during the event.
- Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, offensive behaviour, excessive intoxication, or any conduct that is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate will not be tolerated.
- Attendees must comply with all venue rules, health and safety requirements, and reasonable directions issued by the Organiser or venue staff.
- The event is a curated industry gathering. Attendance does not grant any right to conduct unauthorised commercial, promotional, or competitive activity.
- Delegates may not solicit business, promote services, distribute marketing materials, host unauthorised meetings, or otherwise engage in sales or competitive activity without prior written approval from the Organiser.
- Only confirmed sponsors, exhibitors, and approved partners may conduct promotional or sales-related activity at the event.
- Delegates must respect the commercial relationships of the event, including those of sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and attendees.
- The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse admission or remove any attendee whose behaviour or conduct (including commercial conduct) is deemed inappropriate or in breach of these Terms, without refund.
- Any damage caused to the venue, equipment, or event property by an attendee may result in liability for repair or replacement costs.
- The Organiser reserves the right to limit or refuse the service of alcohol and to remove any attendee who is intoxicated or behaving inappropriately.
7. Photography, Filming & Media
- The Organiser reserves the right to photograph, film and record all areas of the event, including education sessions, exhibition areas and networking functions.
- The event will be photographed or recorded for promotional, editorial, or marketing purposes.
- By attending, you consent to the use of your image, likeness, and voice in such materials without compensation.
- If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify the Organiser prior to the event.
8. Intellectual Property
- All event content, presentations, materials, and recordings remain the intellectual property of the Organiser and/or presenters.
- Attendees may not record, reproduce, distribute, or commercialise event content without prior written consent.
9. Privacy
- Personal information collected during registration is handled in accordance with the Organiser’s Privacy Policy.
- By registering for and attending this event, you acknowledge that your details will be included in event-related communications, including INSTYLE and Styleicons Newsletter and updates connected to this event.
- Your details may be shared with carefully selected event partners whose products and services we believe may be of value to you and align with the values of Hair Festival.
- You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by emailing events@intermedia.com.au or by using the unsubscribe function included in communications.
10. Liability
- Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property.
- Attendance is at your own risk.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser excludes liability for loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from attendance or participation.
- Nothing in these Terms limits rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
11. Force Majeure
The Organiser will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, strikes, pandemics, venue closure, or other unforeseen circumstances.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
